On Sunday August 24th, Grappling-X hosted its first annual Youth Gi World Championships, at Lincoln High School in San Diego California. Some of the best kid and teen grappling competitors from multiple cities and countries hit the mats with both gold medals and custom championship belts on their minds.

Do to the sheer amount of competitors, Grappling-X gave awards to both individual schools and entire competitions teams.  Paul Silva/Carlson Gracie took home the first place individual school award with Stronghold/Eastlake and Outliers taking second and third place respectively.   In the competition team category it was Carlson Gracie BJJ taking the top prize with Gracie Humaita taking second place and Stronghold taking third.  Grappling-X would like to thank all of the competitors and schools who came out and participated.  Do not forget that you can view each match on the Grappling-X YouTube channel for free!

The day was hot but so was the action.  Grappling-X is planning on more events geared towards youth in the future.  Also, Grappling-X has big plans for the next twelve months so keep training!
